What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect any information that you enter into forms on the site. This includes forms such as registration and login. We collect and store any data submitted by you while completing any courses on this site.

Comments

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. All submitted form data is captured and emailed to our team, and stored on our servers. Some forms use Google reCaptcha v3 to validate interactions and submission.

What third parties we receive data from

For user validation, we use Google reCaptcha v3. We use this for all form submissions (Login, Contact, Donations, Partner).

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. Student data is also stored to keep track of their progression through courses. Website administrators can also see and edit all user information. Security logs are retained for 60 days.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. This also does not include any anonymized data that might have been recorded of you.

We protect customer data with the following site features: We are entirely using SSL/HTTPS throughout all our sites. This encrypts our user communications with the servers so personal identifiable information is never captured by third parties without authorization. All passwords are salted and hashed before being stored in our database.
